At the beginning of the season, we have three duels waiting for us. The entire carousel will start with the match between the Tampa Bay Lightning and the Nashville Predators from 11:30 p.m. At night, Pittsburgh will compete against Chicago and Vegas against Seattle.

Tampa will have to do without their No. 1 goalkeeper Andrej Vasilevsky at the beginning of the season. He underwent back surgery in September and should return sometime at the turn of November or December. Nashville will try to have a better season than last year under the leadership of new coach Andrew Brunetto. New signing Ryan O’Reilly could also help.

All eyes will be on budding NHL star Connor Bedard tonight, who will want to show himself in the best possible light during his debut. Will the biggest favorite for the Calder Trophy succeed in his first league game?

Defending champion Vegas will also take part in the fights at night. Will he do as well this season as he did last year? For starters, the latest addition to the NHL, the Seattle Kraken, will stand in his way.
